Jesus is a Black Man
God visited me while I was on a retreat with my church at Red Top Mountain, Georgia and gave me the words and music to, Jesus Is A Black Man. I think that this song is a true song of love, and that we can always learn alot from God because God is Love. I hope that this song will inspire hope and unity among the true churches of the world and that the walls of hate, prejudice and separation will finally be destroyed in the name of the One God of Love.
Thanks to: Rick on guitars and bass, the other Rick on drums, Sammy Knox & Dekker Black at the mixer.
Words
Jesus Is A Black Man
I know, Jesus is a black man. He sits in heaven on His throne. My God, He couldnt be a white man. He would have been accepted and wed be gone. My Jesus came to be rejected. To die upon a tree of pain. My God, He couldnt be a white man. The plan, it would have been in vain. And so I know, Jesus is a black man, with hair as knotty as my own. My God, He couldnt be a white man. He would have been accepted and wed be gone. The world looks down upon a black man, so God in His humility, He chose His Son to be a blackman. It fits right in with our stupidity. So yo I know, Jesus is a black man. He sits in heaven on His throne. My God, He had to send a soul man. The Lamb of God is colored to the bone.

Black Man
Im not a nigger, Im a black man. This is my color not a tan. I didnt come here on a cruise ship. This was no voluntary plan. I think that we have come a long way, too far to go back to the land. We need to learn to live together, to walk together hand in hand. You know an awful lot about me. I play my music and you dance. Its time that we all get acquainted. We all could use a second chance. Hand in hand well climb the mountain, well cross this scorching desert sand. Im not a nigger, Im a black man, and you my friend are the white man.
